Carl Lewis is one of the most decorated Track and Field athletes in the World. He is a 10x Olympic Medalist, nine golds and one silver. In 1996, Lewis became the first American to qualify for the Olympic long jump five times in a row. During his career, he broke two world records; the 100m with a time of 9.86 seconds in 1991 and the 4x100m relay with a time of 37.4 seconds in 1992. Lewis officially retired from the sport in 1997 and is currently an Assistant Coach for the track and field team at the University of Houston, his alma mater.
