Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment Internship Sets Students up for Success in the Sports Industry

Blue Sky Interns with comedian Lenny Clarke.

The Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment internship prepares students with the needed skills for a potential career in the sports marketing industry.  This hands-on program provides exposure to but is not limited to these key areas:

  • Event logistics coordination

  • Marketing research

  • Business correspondence drafting

  • Social media development

  • Administrative support

Past Blue Sky interns have launched careers with teams such as the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, New England Patriots, Boston College Athletics, and even the Super Bowl.  They have gone on to work for industry leaders like ESPN, Creative Artists Agency, New Balance, and the Eastern States Exposition.

Why a Blue Sky Internship Matters

The skills built in an internship are highly sought after in a competitive industry like athlete marketing and sports marketing consulting. Applying what you learn in the classroom to real-life scenarios makes you a much more attractive  to potential employers.  Additionally, networking opportunities are a major reward of the Blue Sky internship. Blue Sky allows interns to connect with industry professionals who can open doors to future career possibilities. If you have passion about sports and the business of sports, the Blue Sky internship allows you to bridge the gap between the two, making for an engaging and fulfilling experience that sets you up with the skills for long-term success.

I strongly believe in experiential learning. Nothing can replicate working in a hands-on environment where you can actually see and listen to what is being worked on. That learning by osmosis is why it is critical to be in an environment where you are allowed to fail and grow from those mistakes. We care much more about how you learn from your mistakes than the mistakes themselves.”

-Kim Zayotti, Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment Founder/CEO

What Makes a Successful Intern?

Successful interns in the past have demonstrated many qualities, such as a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to take on new challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm. Interns should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with attention to detail while proactively prioritizing tasks.
