Bob Montgomery played 10 consecutive seasons as a catcher for the Boston Red Sox, from 1970-1979. After retiring from baseball as a player in 1979, Bob joined WSBK-TV-38 as the color commentator for Red Sox baseball. Montgomery spent 14 seasons on the job, earning eleven Emmy Awards as a Major League commentator. Montgomery has been recognized in his community with the Boston Man of the Year Award, as well as the Good Scout Award and Big Brother Association Award.
