Former MLB Player | WEEI Co-Host "Ordway, Merloni & Fauria"

Lou Merloni began his eight (8) year MLB career with his hometown team, the Boston Red Sox.  The infielder, known as “Sweet Lou,” by his teammates is best known for hitting a home run in his first major league at bat off Jose Rosado.  After retiring in 2007, Merloni transitioned from athlete to commentator, joining the New England Sports Network (NESN) for Red Sox pre and post-game shows.  In 2009, Lou became an analyst and reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England.  Since 2011, Merloni has been part of the WEEI radio family, currently co-hosting Ordway, Merloni & Fauria weekdays from 2-6pm.   Lou is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame and currently resides in MA with his wife and son.
