In Memoriam: Travis Roy

The entire Roy family and the Travis Roy Foundation would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the incredible outreach and love from all of Travis' friends and supporters.  Travis was extraordinarily special, not just to us but to the broader hockey community, New England, and across the entire US and Canada.  Travis’ injury was difficult for his family 25 years ago.  With the incredible outpouring of support, they made it through.  In a remarkable transition, Travis became a motivational speaker, inspiring hundreds of thousands of executives, business associates, administrators, and students across the country.  He founded the Travis Roy Foundation, seeking to help others with spinal cord injuries and funding research in hopes of a cure.  Travis’ passing is equally difficult, and your love and encouragement will once again carry them on. The Roy family continues to be moved and overwhelmed by the number of people reaching out offering their prayers, memories, and thanks for all Travis did to inspire the lives of so many.  If so moved, the Roy family would be honored if you would consider donating to the Travis Roy Foundation.
