David Andrews was born on July 10, 1992 in Johns Creek, Georgia.  Coming out of high school, David was ranked as the No. 9 center prospect and received numerous college offers. Having grown up in Georgia as a life-long Georgia Bulldogs fan, David decided to play football at the University of Georgia

As a freshman, David played in ten games and earned Athletic Director’s Honor Roll Distinction.  In his sophomore year, he started in all 14 games for the Bulldogs, and after a tremendous game against Auburn, was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.  As a junior, David continued his offensive line dominance, starting all 13 games, and helping the Georgia offense become No.2 in the SEC for passing.  He dominated during his senior season, earning accolades such as Offensive MVP and third-team All-SEC by college football writer Phil Steele.  He would later be awarded Georgia’s Vince Dooley MVP Award and “Toughest Player” award, be selected second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press, and be one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy, awarded to college football’s best center.

David went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, but signed with the New England Patriots as a free agent in May of 2015.  He made the Patriots 53-man roster and started the first game of the 2015 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  In the 2016 season, David started all 16 regular season games on a very successful offensive line that led the team to a 14-2 regular season record.  He played a pivotal role in Super Bowl LI, in which the Patriots would go on to win in overtime in a historic comeback victory against the Atlanta Falcons and Super Bowl LIII’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams. David is now a New England Patriots captain and fan favorite.

David has been extremely active in the Boston community, winning the Ron Burton Community Service Award in 2020. David, his wife Mackenzie and his son split time between Georgia and the Boston area.
