Dan Shaughnessy is an award-winning sports writer for the Boston Globe. He has worked for the Globe since 1981, serving as beat writer for the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, and as a sports columnist. Shaughnessy has been voted one of America’s top ten sports columnists by Associated Press Sports Editors twelve (12) times, has been named Massachusetts Sportswriter of the Year fourteen (14) times, and was awarded the BBWAA Carer Excellence Award for “meritorious contributions to baseball writing” in 2016. In addition to his duties with the Globe, Shaughnessy has authored or contributed to several sports-related books such as Curse of the Bambino and Reversing the Curse.
