Gerry Cheevers

Gerry Cheevers is an NHL Hall of Famer (1985) and a two-time Stanley Cup champion. After a long, successful career in the AHL, Cheevers made the transition to the NHL rather quickly and didn’t skip a beat. He was an integral part of the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup runs in 1970 and 1972, a season in which he won 32 consecutive games as a goalie. Cheevers retired in 1980 and served as head coach for the Bruins from 1980 until 1985. Cheevers was a Bruins color commentator from 1999 - 2022 and from 1995 -2006 was a member of the Bruins' scouting staff. Cheevers, an avid golfer, currently lives in Florida.
