Jim Lonborg

Jim Lonborg was a right-handed pitcher who spent fifteen years in the major leagues. Lonborg’s best season came in 1967 when he led the American League in strikeouts (246) and wins (22), won the AL Cy Young Award and led the Boston Red Sox to a World Series appearance. He was inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002. After retiring, Lonborg went back to school at Tufts University to become a general dentist.
