Rebecca Lobo
WNBA Hall of Famer | Olympic Gold Medalist | ESPN Analyst
Rebecca Lobo led the University of Connecticut (UConn) Women’s Basketball Team to its first National Championship 1995 and was named the Consensus National Player of the Year. Lobo went on to a seven-year career in the WNBA after receiving a gold medal with the U.S. Women’s Olympic Basketball Team in 1996. In 2001, Lobo and her mother, RuthAnn, founded The RuthAnn and Rebecca Lobo Scholarship in Allied Health at UConn to encourage diversity in the health professions. After retiring from the WBNA in 2003, Rebecca transitioned into her current role as a commentator for ESPN. Lobo was inducted into the National Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 and most recently the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. Rebecca lives in Connecticut with her husband and four children.
