Matthew Slater

Matthew Slater is considered to be one of the greatest special teams players in NFL history. Matthew spent his entire 16-year career with the New England Patriots of which 13 years he was captain. Matthew played college football at UCLA where he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2008 and played his first NFL game that same year. Matthew won three Super Bowl championships, was named to the First-Team All-Pro five times, is a ten-time pro bowler, and is the recipient of the prestigious Bart Starr and Art Rooney Awards. Matthew announced his retirement from the league in February of 2024. In 2020, Slater and his wife founded the Slater Family Foundation. Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, Patriots Head Coach hired Slater to be an advisor to help with player development.
