Trot Nixon was a longtime outfielder for the Boston Red Sox and a fan favorite due to his hard working attitude and commitment to his teammates. Nixon played an important role in the 2004 World Series as his two-run double in Game 4 all but clinched the series. Nixon is well-known for his community work as he and his wife Kathryn received the Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund Award in 2007, after dedicating more than 10 years to the charity.
