Ty Law
Former NFL Cornerback
NFL defensive great Tajuan E. “Ty” Law was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on February 10th, 1974. Law played collegiate football with the University of Michigan after which he was selected 23rd in the 1st round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
Law spent 10 of 15 seasons in the NFL with the Patriots where he was the standout leader in their defensive secondary. Law made a name for himself with his tough play and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Patriots defenders of all time. In 2001, Law scored the first points of the game when he returned an interception for a 47 yard touchdown leading the Patriots to their first Super Bowl victory. That championship play was just beginning as Law won 3 Super Bowl Championships with the team, starting what would be known as the Patriots Dynasty. Law was released by the Patriots in 2005 where he joined the rival New York Jets, followed by seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2006 and 2007 NFL seasons. Law then returned to the Jets for the 2008 season before finishing his career with the Denver Broncos in 2009. By the end of his illustrious NFL career Law finished as a 3x Super Bowl champion, 5x Pro Bowl selection, 2x All-Pro, Pro-Bowl MVP, lead the NFL in interceptions twice, tied with Deion Sanders for 24th All-Time in the NFL in career interceptions with 53 and was named to the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. In 2014, Law was the 20th member to be inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
After ending his career on the football field, Law took his passion to trampolines and founded Launch Trampoline Park. Launch Parks now have over a dozen locations stretching all the way down the east coast of the United States; Ty will frequently participate in trampoline dodge ball with customers.
Ty Law, without a doubt, will always be a fan favorite with Patriots Nation.
