Wes Walz

Retired NHL Player

Wes Walz was a journeyman player at the beginning of his NHL career, bouncing around from team to team and from the AHL to the NHL.  However, after signing on with the expansion Minnesota Wild in 2000, his career took off.  Walz became an integral part of the team the first few seasons as their center and retired in 2007 as the franchise’s leader in all-time games played during that time. Walz was an assistant coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning for three years, and now currently works as an analyst on Fox Sports North for the Wild.
