Chris Wagner
Professional Hockey Player
A native of Walpole, MA, Chris Wagner, an exclusive Blue Sky client, signed with the Bruins prior to the 2018-19 season. Since joining the NHL, he has earned the reputation as one of the league’s most physical players. He finished the 2017-18 season third in the league in total hits, with 253. During the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, he demonstrated his toughness by blocking a slap shot that broke his wrist, but ultimately sealed the win for the Bruins and helped propel them to the Stanley Cup Finals. Wagner played for the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League while under contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
Wagner currently serves as captain of the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League (AHL). He recently signed a contract extension with the Thunderbirds through the 2026–27 season, continuing his leadership role with the organization.
