Whether he was playing shortstop or third base, Rico Petrocelli was a staple in the Boston Red Sox infield for thirteen (13) seasons for his powerful hitting and great defensive play. He was a large part of the 1967 and 1975 teams that won the American League Championship and was a two (2) time All Star. Petrocelli was inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame in 1987.
